The Milk Barn has been lovingly restored to show the fine bones that barns are made from. Revealing the wooden beams and opening up the structure creates a home of light, airness and an incredible sense of place.
The barn walls have been opened up with two stories of windows which look out over lovely gardens and down the river valley.
The living room runs the full width of the house. It has satellite radio and Boes surround sound, flat screen TV with DVD player. Comfy sitting area is now furnished - we're just waiting for new photos. There is a woodstove in the back corner and a ceramic wood stove as well.
The living room opens to the dining area with a gorgeous old long wood table. It wraps around to the kitchen and also leads out to the upper deck with outdoor dining area.
There is a full bath on the main floor. And a gorgeous stone and cement modern entry foyer.
The old wood revealed in the renovation is a wonderful warm blend of russets and browns. The old stairs to the hayloft remain and are open through so care should be taken when going up and down. For this reason the house is not rented to groups with small children.
