Overlook Nook offers a diverse natural wonderland that unfolds into many small inviting worlds as you spend more time here. This is an exquisite property for lounging around outside in the warm months. Relax in the hammocks. Read a book by the pond. Take a dip to cool off of a hot day.
Close to the house there is the garden/ponybarn area and the pond area. The garden is sunny and open filled with perennials and looks out to the mountains that surround the Pepacton, while the blue stone pond and deck provide a more Zen respite surrounded by moss and hemlocks.
Part of the uniqueness of this property and perhaps what the owners love most about it are the trails that wind through the hill behind the house and that make the 27 acres of fern-filled forest feel truly magical. Ascending from the homestead, the trails form cutbacks that offer beautiful views of the mountains on one side and a passage through the woods on the other. Where the trails meet we refer to as the four corners and regularly hang a hammock to lie in the dappled sunlight surrounded by infinite ferns. The trail continues up to the upper meadow which feels like a whole other locale and is a destination in itself to pick blackberries in the summer and apples in the fall and take a snowy hike in the winter.
This property is just a calming refuge in which to enjoy nature and the weather that feels both comforting and very far away from the stress of urban life.
